Cheese and wine

This weekend we went on our favourite walk through the bluebells to the organic vineyard - a bottle of wine and some camembert under the tree and then home. Unfortunately though they've ploughed the field - as you can see there was just a little patch of grass left to sit on!

Vintage Vacations

This time last week we were on our way to the Isle of Wight for the start of our fab weekend in an Airstream. Actually it was a present for my 40th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect - I may not be as old as the trailer (although she has probably aged better) but it was certainly a trip down memory lane (we even played Coppit - remember that?). The weekend was booked through Vintage Vacations - a great company with five trailers (and more to come) on a small farm near Newport - I would have happily moved in. Babycham and cream scones when you arrive, fresh flowers in the bathroom, girly annuals, vintage games, retro music - camping has never been this chic! I'm smitten!

Have a look at the website, they also sell some lovely vintage-inspired nick nacks - www.vintagevacations.co.uk

The Little Things summer flyer

I've been working on a new flyer to send out using some of the pictures from the weekend to promote our new retro-print fabric party bags. I'm really pleased with it. What do you think?

Happy holidays

This was our home for the weekend - a 1954 Overlander Airstream - isn't she beautiful? We had two nights on a farm on the Isle of Wight. I took some party bags along to take some photos but was too busy having a good time. I do have some good piccies though which will look great alongside my new retro-print party bags

Shooting between the showers

Finally managed to shoot some pictures of my new fabric party bags. Went to Camber Sands with my two girls, one of their friends and Barbara. While they managed to get a kite in the air I grabbed every minute of sunshine to take some pictures - what do you think? I would love some comments! Just found out that we're going to stay in a Fifties Airstream on the Isle of Wight this weekend which will be perfect for some more lovely piccies - I'll post some as soon as I get back.

Now it's snowing!

I need a sunny spring day so I can some take new pictures for The Little Things website but it seems to be a long way off. Woke up this morning and this is what the lane looks like outside our bedroom window. Just when I was getting excited about the primroses and daffodils it has all been buried under a few inches of snow. Oh well, I'll have to wait a little longer . . .

Happy Easter

It's finally Easter! I love this time of year – I love the primroses and daffs, I love egg rolling, I love the evenings getting lighter, but what I love most are birthday parties in the garden and with Easter comes the promise of better weather. My youngest daughter was an Easter baby, delivered on Easter Sunday. The Easter Bunny hasn't brought me such a special present since but every year we have an egg hunt in the garden and you never know! Happy Easter.
